The West Lambton Community Health Centre (CHC) has released its schedule of health promotion programs for March, offering several opportunities for residents to engage in physical activity and social connection. These local initiatives are designed to support community wellness through accessible, no-cost programming at various sites across the region.
Fitness and mindfulness options this month include several weekly sessions aimed at different skill levels. Meditation and low-impact exercise classes are available to help residents manage stress and improve physical health, while unique programs like Drum Fit offer rhythmic movement for strength and balance.
The CHC is also prioritizing food security and nutritional education through its Garden Fresh Box program and specialized cooking classes. Offerings include a dedicated cooking program for men to build kitchen skills and a "Cooking with Flair" evening specifically for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
