The owner and landlords especially foreign owners just want all Canadians on the street. I can tell you 100% that the rent being charged is inflated. It is no longer sustainable to charge double rent. The majority of people can only pay rent at 2018 levels under $1000.00/mth or 30% of your total income. I worked in housing for 10 years and they completely ruined my life for trying to stop them.
There are reports in Kitchener about tenants fighting back. It's only greed, no empathy they don't care if your on the street.
Fight back every single time. Fight for Canada.
