Peacefully on January 12, 2026, Jerome “Jerry” Delano Barr passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospice in Sarnia at the age of 88.
Jerry was a devoted father to Christopher and Alanna, and a proud grandfather to Alix, Ryan, Aden, Nate, and Micah. He was a beloved brother to Mary and a dear friend to Roger, Susie, Shawn, and Ian. He was predeceased by his loved ones Janet, George, and Bill.
Jerry will be fondly remembered for his deep love of automobiles, history, genealogy, airplanes, politics, and baseball.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to April and the entire staff at St. Joseph’s Hospice for their compassionate care and support.
In keeping with Jerry’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life and ashes scattering ceremony will be held when the weather is warmer. Please check back for further details.
