Inge died peacefully at Bluewater Health on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at the age of 91 due to complications from COPD. Inge was born in Nurnberg Germany in 1934 She married her childhood sweetheart, Martin Hohlheimer in 1953 and they immigrated to Ottawa, Canada in 1957 to begin a new life with their young family. They later moved to Sarnia in 1997 to be closer to their youngest daughter Angie and her family. In her younger years Mom enjoyed horseback riding on her horse Missy and showing her German Shepards. Inge worked most of her life as a bookkeeper and enjoyed knitting, travelling, playing cards, spending time with family, and the weekly Sunday dinners and card games with the family. Inge was the beloved and devoted wife of 70 years of her late husband Martin. Dear Mother of the late Judy Brock (late Jim), John Hohlheimer (Ann Marie), and Angie Smith (Rick), Loving grandmother of Dawn Gielarowski (Jeremy), Beth Raus, the late Daniel Raus, Siobhan LeSarge (Jordan), and Robyn Smith, Great-grandmother of Paige Battaglia, Meah Raus, Allison Raus, Aiden Varre, and Alissa Varre, Sister of the late Renate Eisenhäfer, and Brother of the Late Heinz Keil (late Mary). Her family wishes to thank the staff at Bluewater health, especially those in the Emergency and Palliative Care Departments for their amazing care, sensitivity and kindness during this difficult time. Cremation has taken place in keeping with Inge’s wishes and no service or visitation will be held. Arrangements have been entrusted to Smith Funeral Home.
