Harvey Gordon Doell passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on December 21, 2025. Harvey was born in Rhinfeld, Manitoba, and was predeceased by his parents Cornelius and Annie, and several of his siblings. He was also predeceased by Anne Doell, loving mother of their children. Harvey is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Linda (John) and Pam (Mike); and his grandchildren, Ashley (Pam), and Michael (Jasmine, Maliyah, and Dawsynn). He is also survived by his siblings Evelina (predeceased by her husband John), Gerald (Virginia), Clifford (Leslee), and Viola (Rod). Harvey had a long and meaningful career as a teacher and educator. He was a patient and kind man who loved sharing his knowledge with his students, as well as with his family and friends. Because of his long illness, Harvey formed several special relationships with his caregivers, affectionately known as “Harvey’s Angels.” The family extends a heartfelt thank you to all of the PSW’s, to Sara, Homecare Coordinator, Care Partners, VON, and Alzheimer’s Society. The family wishes to give a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Vision Nursing Home for the wonderful care he received during his short stay. A private family graveside service will take place. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or to a charity of one’s choice (cheques only at the funeral please).
