The ribbon-cutting ceremony drew a strong crowd, with Mayor Loosley and members of the Petrolia Business Association on hand to bring greetings and celebrate the opening.
Located at 4110 Petrolia Line, Unit 3, the new franchise is already making a positive impact in the community. The owners held a job fair earlier this fall, successfully hiring several local residents for full-time, part-time, and student positions. The emphasis on local employment has been a key point of pride for the new operators as they build their team and establish roots in Petrolia.
Opening-day celebrations featured cake, coffee, and giveaways, including a free six-inch sub for the first 50 customers and a buy-one-get-one offer throughout the day. Staff members were kept busy greeting guests, preparing food, and taking photos with visitors who dropped in to show support.
Members of the Petrolia Business Association welcomed the new franchise as a positive addition to the town’s growing business community. The restaurant’s arrival fills a gap left by the previous Subway closure and brings renewed activity to a familiar spot along Petrolia Line.
Residents are encouraged to stop by, say hello, and grab lunch while welcoming the team to town. With new staff, community engagement, and a focus on local hiring, Subway’s return marks a fresh start for a well-known brand in the heart of Petrolia.
