She was mother to those who need one and an incredible friend, she always believed in people, forgiveness and second chances, the best of humanity that exudes kindness in all things.

In keeping with Darlene’s wishes, she has donated her body to science. What a brilliant gift to causes she believed in.

A celebration of Darlene’s life is being planned for the Spring of 2026, and details will be announced in the coming months. At that time, we will be also planting a tree as a space to honour her and looking to get a bench as a place to honour her or be inspired. We will be setting up a way for those that wish to donate or participate in this wish. Arrangements entrusted to Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
