The Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery (JNAAG) is opening a new exhibition, Making Space: Recent Acquisitions, which showcases a variety of works recently donated to the Gallery's collection.
The exhibition is scheduled to open on First Friday, November 7 at 6:00 p.m.
The featured pieces include an inspiring range of work from Indigenous artists and collectors of Indigenous art, with the collection spanning different generations and media. According to the gallery, each piece shares unique stories and perspectives.
"We’re thrilled to welcome these new works into the Gallery’s collection,” said Sonya Blazek, Curator/Supervisor. “They represent important artistic voices and histories, and we’re honoured to share them with our community. Making Space is about celebrating these stories and ensuring they continue to be seen and heard for years to come.”
The exhibition supports the Sarnia Journal's commitment to supporting and promoting local arts and culture, which we recognize as integral to our community's identity.
