With love and fond memories, the family of William Harold “Bill” Stover announces his peaceful passing. Born in Sombra, Ontario, on May 20, 1932, Bill lived a full and happy life surrounded by family, friends, and laughter. Beloved husband of Sandra Stover, and proud father of Sally (Bruce), Kerry (Garry), Janet (Scott), Jill (Andy), and Darrell. Cherished grandfather of Jaclyn (Carey), Craig (Lauren), Jessica (Scott), Joel (Victoria), and Phil. Adored great-grandfather of Hillary, Lauren, Adison, Luke, Harrison, Grace, and Remi. Bill spent his entire career as a chemical researcher at Imperial Oil, where his curiosity and dedication made a lasting impact. Outside of work, he found great joy on the golf course, at the rink, or watching his favourite team, the Toronto Blue Jays, whom he’ll surely be cheering for from above. A Celebration of Life will be held at Smith Funeral Home – London Line Chapel, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with a luncheon to follow. Bill’s warmth, humour, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Society or to Parkinson's Society (cheques only at the funeral home please).
