The Sarnia Sting has announced a transaction to enhance its goaltending roster, acquiring netminder Charlie Larocque from the North Bay Battalion.

The trade was confirmed on Thursday, October 2, 2025, by Sting General Manager, Dylan Seca. In exchange for Larocque, Sarnia will send a 6th round pick in the 2029 Ontario Hockey League (OHL) Priority Selection to North Bay.

General Manager Dylan Seca expressed his enthusiasm for the move, highlighting the goaltender’s attributes and development potential.

“We wanted to add to our goaltending depth, Charlie is an athletic goalie with good size, and potential,” Seca shared. “He’s been to an NHL camp, and is someone we believe can take the next step in his development.”

Larocque is immediately welcomed to the Sarnia Sting organization, adding an experienced and sizable presence to the team’s crease.
