The Petrolia Community Fund has officially opened its 2025 grant application cycle, inviting local organizations to apply for funding dedicated to community betterment within the Town of Petrolia.
This year marks a significant period of growth for the fund. Mike Barron, Executive Director of the Sarnia Community Foundation (SCF), which collaborates with the Petrolia Community Fund, stated, “This is a very exciting year as the Petrolia Community Fund continues to grow, there are over $12,000 available for community grant disbursement in the Town of Petrolia.”
Established in 2012, the fund has historically supported various initiatives, including youth programs, facility improvements, and community projects, dishing out over $65,000 back into the community. The fund is seen as a key way for the citizens of Petrolia, known as "The Greatest Town on Earth," to continue building on its rich heritage.
Grant applications are now being accepted. Organizations must submit their applications by Monday, December 1, 2025, at 4:00 p.m.
