Maureen Ann Robillard (née O’Reilly) passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025, at the St Joseph’s Hospice in Sarnia, Ontario, at the age of 80.

Born on March 10, 1945, in Ottawa, Ontario, Maureen was the daughter of Gladys and Len O’Reilly. She grew up in a close-knit family and carried the values of dedication and compassion throughout her life.

Maureen built a fulfilling career at Sears, where she worked for 25 years in both the credit officer and furniture departments. Her professionalism and commitment left a lasting impression on colleagues and customers alike. After retiring from Sears, she continued to devote herself wholeheartedly to her family.

She was a loving mother to her daughters Timi-Lee Japp (Kevin), Pam Smits (Miquel), and Krista Dochstader (Nick).

Her greatest joy came from being a devoted caretaker to her cherished grandchildren: Steve, Haleigh, Emma, Michael, and Sydney. Maureen’s presence in their lives was a source of warmth and unwavering support.

She is also remembered with love by her brother Don O’Reilly (Patricia), as well as her beloved nephews Kevin O’Reilly and Sean O’Reilly (Christian). Maureen was predeceased by her parents Gladys and Len O’Reilly and her brother Robert O’Reilly.

Maureen treasured the friendship she shared with Ed McArthur (and Laurie (2019)). These enduring bonds brought laughter, companionship, and comfort through the years.

Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew her—as a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, colleague, and friend.

May her memory bring comfort to all who mourn her passing. Please consider a donation in Maureen’s memory to the St Joseph’s Hospice and Huron House Boys Home. Thank you to Dr Kim, all of the nurses, PSWs and volunteers at the hospice for their compassion and kindness.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, September 28, 2025, from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia. A memorial service will be held directly following at 1:30 p.m. Memories and condolences may be sent online at www.smithfuneralhome.ca
