The event, held in memory of Ella, a young girl who loved Halloween and became an organ donor after her passing, raises funds to support donor families through grief packages and assistance for local patients awaiting transplants. This year’s Ella-ween will take place Sunday, October 19, 2025, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Lochiel Kiwanis Community Centre in Sarnia.
Organizers mention that donated items will be sold at the event for ten dollars or less, making costumes affordable for families who might otherwise go without.
Donations can be dropped off at the following locations in Sarnia:
180 College Ave. N.
1112 Indian Rd. N.
Contributions are welcome throughout the year, but for this year’s Ella-ween event, the deadline for drop-offs is Wednesday, October 15, 2025.
Funds raised will go directly toward SODA’s Donor Family Grief Packages, providing ongoing support to families touched by organ and tissue donation.
For further details or to arrange larger donations, residents may contact SODA at 519-344-7777 or by email at [email protected].
