The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has announced in a media release that pavement repairs will soon begin on the eastbound span of the Bluewater Bridge.
Work is scheduled to start Monday, September 15, with completion expected by November 1. The project will involve repairing the bridge deck pavement to improve safety for drivers and extend the life of the structure.
During construction, one lane on the eastbound span will remain open from the toll plaza to the midpoint of the bridge. The westbound span will not be affected. A 14-foot width restriction will be in effect for the duration of the project.
