The Sarnia Golf and Curling Club (SGCC) recently wrapped up its annual Senior Men's and Women's Club Championship on September 8th and 9th. The two-day tournament saw strong performances from top competitors, with new champions being crowned in both the men's and women's divisions.
Gerard McAnulty was named the 2025 Senior Men's Club Champion, securing the title with a total stroke play score of 146 (73, 73). In the men's flights, Craig Davies won the 1st Flight with a score of 147, followed by Dana Pyke who claimed the 2nd Flight with 148. Bryan Barnes took the 3rd Flight with a 154, while Ted Vanos won the 4th Flight with 156. The 5th and 6th Flights were won by Bob Kirk (157) and Geoff Gander (162), respectively.
On the women's side, Peggy Connors emerged as the 2025 Senior Women's Club Champion with a Stableford Point total of 88 (43, 45). The women's tournament also featured several flight winners: Cherie Armstrong won the 1st Flight with 85 points, Brenda Gosselin won the 2nd Flight with 84 points, and Trish Gogas claimed the 3rd Flight with 70 points. Diane Yurkewich was the winner of the 4th Flight with a total of 58 points.
