Peacefully at Lambton Meadowview Villa in Petrolia, with her family at her side, on Monday, September 1, 2025, Virginia (Ginny) Julia Stafford passed away in her 92nd year. Predeceased by the love of her life the late Murray Elwin Stafford (1998). Beloved mother to Beverly (Doug) Foubister. Dearest grandmother to Derek (Brittany) and Darren (Hillary) Foubister, and great-grandmother of Maya and Aiden. Survived by her sisters Anne, Margie and Louise. Predeceased by her son Allen (1967), her parents Constant and Matilda De Carte and her siblings Nettie, Gus, Joe and Tina. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews, close family friends and extended family members.

Ginny was a member of the Catholic Women’s League at Sacred Heart Church in Sarnia. She will fondly be remembered for her passions for baking, knitting and gardening. Her kind heart and unconditional love for her family and friends will always be remembered.
Family would like to extend a very special thank you to Dr. Buckton and all staff at Lambton Meadowview Villa for their outstanding care.

A funeral service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with family and friends being received one hour prior from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.

Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Sarnia-Lambton (cheques only at the funeral home please). Arrangements entrusted to Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
