Shell Canada has donated $165,000 to Sarnia-Lambton Rebound’s HUB program, funding a new shuttle van, outdoor green space, and expanded services for local youth.

Sarnia–Lambton Rebound has received a $165,000 contribution from Shell Canada to enhance services at The HUB, its drop-in space for youth.
The funding will be used to address transportation challenges, create an outdoor green space, and expand programming for local youth.
“Sarnia-Lambton Rebound has been a pillar of our community for more than four decades, and it’s so inspirational to see how they continue to positively encourage and influence thousands of youths in the region,” said Bonnie Yu, vice-president of Shell’s Corunna Manufacturing Centre. “Shell is proud to support Rebound, and to help improve access to their facility so they can help even more youth reach their full potential.”
The HUB, located in downtown Sarnia, is a drop-in space for youth aged 12 to 24. It offers programming and services in partnership with multiple community agencies, providing supports such as mental health and addiction services, employment resources, housing assistance, laundry and shower facilities, a food bank, and access to meals.
In 2024-25, The HUB recorded more than 4,000 youth visits and served 3,250 dinners. Staff also hosted guest speakers, workshops, and social activities.
“Shell’s generous investment is truly transformational,” said Michelle Holbrook, executive director of Sarnia-Lambton Rebound. “With this support, we’re not only enhancing the physical space and programming for youth but also breaking down one of the biggest barriers they face, which is transportation. The addition of a new shuttle van means more young people can access the vital services they need to thrive.”
Since 1984, Rebound has provided programs to more than 40,000 youth across Sarnia-Lambton and now operates 21 different services for those aged 8 to 24.
