Peacefully, surrounded by loving family on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Vision Nursing Home, Ida Murray passed away at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Donald “Don” (2011). Loving mother of Cathy Lapointe, Gerald Murray (Anita), Steve Murray (Carol), and Dennis Murray (Patti). Cherished grandmother of Adam Lapointe (Kristi), Craig Lapointe, Brian Murray (Amanda), Kyle Murray, and Sam Murray (Helena). Treasured great-grandmother of Cody Lapointe, Natalie Lapointe, and Mylo Murray, step-grandmother of Jodi Case (Ryan) and Julee Pyke (Dave Mainland), and step-great-grandmother of Clara Case, Elyse Case, Maude Mainland, Neve Mainland, Dane Mainland, Tate Mainland, and Khye Mainland. Dear sister of Jim (Gayle) Moore and sister-in-law of Bill and Joyce Pritchard. Predeceased by her parents, Clayton and Vera Moore, and by her sister Marjorie Atkin. A funeral service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Monday, August 18, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation held two hours prior from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Make-A-Wish Foundation or the Childhood Cancer Canada (cheques only at the funeral home please).
