John “Jack” Thomas Wilson of Sarnia, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2025 after a courageous journey with Alzheimer’s. Jack spent his 89 years in Sarnia and Mooretown (down river). He worked at Fiberglass and CIL and retired in 1993. He enjoyed bowling, his guitar, and golfing with friends and family. Jack and Marg spent many summers at their trailer in Sauble Beach and winters in Florida. He was a loving husband, kind hearted, a good listener, and fine role model. He was proud to be a donor of 150 units to the Red Cross. He actively supported his Church family. Jack is survived by his loving wife Margaret of 68 years, his four sons, Doug, Dale (Janet), Dave (Brenda), and Ken (Joanne). He was a loving grandfather to Graham (Candice), Natali (Casey), Emily (Anthony), Nash (Alicia), Logan (Krystal), and Erin (Jeff). He was a great-grandfather to Oliver, Oakley, Wyatt, Jolie, Jamie, Avery, Aiden, Jack, Mackenzie, and Zachary. He will be missed dearly. Jack was predeceased by his parents, John “Tom” and Beatrice, his in-laws Lewis and Nancy Mansell, and his loving granddaughter Lauren. A special thank you to the wonderful staff at Marshall Gowland Manor. A private service will be held at Smith Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Alzheimer’s Society or charity of choice (cheques only at the funeral home, please).
