Ontario’s online gambling regulator, iGaming Ontario, publishes industry reports regularly throughout the year. To conclude the last year of books at the end of April, the regulatory body announced a hefty year-on-year increase in gross gaming revenue. They reported a 32 percent uptick to CA$3.2 billion, which broke the provincial record for the highest annual iGaming total in Ontario, as relayed by iGamingBusiness.
Those 2024/25 figures, covering April 2024 to March 2025, saw CA $82.7 billion wagered online by Ontario residents in total. Zooming in a little bit more, recent months of late have set their own records. The January 2025 findings point to the iGaming market exceeding $300 million in non-adjusted gross gaming revenue for the first time since its launch. Then, April 2025 marked another new high.
Again, regarding non-adjusted gross gaming revenue, April 2025 marked the highest-earning April throughout the industry’s existence. However, as of May 2025, the CA$313 million in non-adjusted gross gaming revenue only rank second. The top spot still belongs to the breakout CA$328 million seen in January 2025. In the summer months and as the major league sports seasons wind out, revenue will likely be less impressive, but could still set monthly highs.
