It is with deeply saddened hearts that the family of Malcolm Rex Elms announces his passing on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at the age of 77.
Devoted husband of Jean Elms for 52 years. Dear brother of Jack (Rhonda) and Tom (Laura); and brother-in-law of Mike, Mary (John), Anita and David. Lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sisters-in-law Pat and Kathy.
Malcolm worked as a surveyor for many years and owned his own company. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, and loved to go camping, golfing and whitewater rafting. He travelled often, and his favourite place to visit was Myrtle Beach. Malcolm was a big movie buff but he would never re-watch one. He was very logical, and had a warped sense of humour.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia. In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society (cheques only at the funeral home please).
