This year’s Race to Erase returns Saturday with more than 30 teams set to compete and donations already topping $30,000 for nine Sarnia-Lambton charities.

The 17th annual Race to Erase takes place Saturday, May 31, with 32 teams registered and more than $30,000 raised to date. Donations continue to come in ahead of the event, which supports charities across Sarnia-Lambton.
Race to Erase is a county-wide adventure challenge where teams of four travel to various locations to complete interactive tasks. The activities range from puzzles to physical games, with each stop designed to showcase local organizations and businesses.
There is no registration fee, but teams are asked to raise a minimum of $500 for a local charity of their choice. Every dollar raised goes directly to one of nine participating organizations: The Inn of the Good Shepherd, Women’s Interval Home of Sarnia-Lambton, SWONT Conductive Education Trust Fund, Errol Road Public School, River City Vineyard, Pathways Health Centre for Children, Literacy Lambton, That Girl’s Got Moxie, and BCG.
The event is organized by the Hashtag Charitable Foundation (#charitable), which promotes partnerships between residents, businesses, and community groups. Since it began, Race to Erase has raised more than $850,000 for over 30 organizations in Sarnia, London, and Cambridge.
“As we gear up for tomorrow, we’re overwhelmed with gratitude,” said Rich Bouchard, Race to Erase co-founder and Executive Director of #charitable. “The energy, the generosity, and the heart behind every team, volunteer, and donor are what make this event so special. Tomorrow is going to be an unforgettable celebration of community spirit.”
