A total of 684 Lambton College students received scholarships and bursaries this year, with awards totalling more than $822,000.

The Lambton College Foundation is celebrating what it calls a landmark year of student success and community generosity. During the College’s 2025 Academic Award Ceremonies, 684 students received more than $822,000 in scholarships and bursaries.
Krystyna Kahnert, Manager of The Lambton College Foundation, said the impact of donor support goes far beyond financial assistance. “When you donate to our scholarship and bursary program, you’re telling our students that you believe in them and want them to succeed,” said Kahnert. “The result? Remarkable perseverance, incredible accomplishments, and bright futures.”
Many of this year’s recipients have overcome personal and financial challenges. With the encouragement of a scholarship or bursary, they are continuing their education with renewed confidence and ambition.
“Our program is about more than money,” Kahnert added. “It’s about empowerment. It’s about telling a student, ‘I believe in you,’ even if you’ve never met them. That impact can’t be measured but it’s felt every single day on our campus.”
According to Kahnert, the Foundation’s internal statistics show a 98% retention rate among scholarship recipients. “Statistics show that recipients of a Lambton College scholarship have the greatest chance of successfully completing their studies,” she said.
To support future awards, the Foundation has launched its second Funding Futures 50/50 lottery. The first draw raised $11,400, with one winner receiving half. Proceeds from the lottery help fund additional scholarships and bursaries for Lambton College students. Tickets for the current draw are available at lambtoncollege.ca/5050.
