Peacefully at Vision Nursing Home on Monday, May 26, 2025, Barbara Katherine Batson passed away at the age of 79. Beloved wife of the late Harold Batson (2021). She will be greatly missed by her children Todd (Jodi) and Beth (Mike Kolthoff). Loved grandmother of Amanda (Austin Drury), Cameron Kolthoff, Ayrianna and Tatianna Batson. Barb was born on September 10, 1945 in Toronto, Ontario to Al and Helen Wood. Barb leaves behind her sisters Elizabeth (Denson) MacDonald and Janet (Bruce) Bramham. She was an avid BINGO player, especially with Joan Lind in her company on Tuesday nights for over 25 years. Every morning, while working and during retirement, Barb enjoyed Sudoku, word jumbles and doing crossword puzzles in the London Free Press. She will be missed especially by the “couples camping group” and all those who knew and loved her. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Barb’s life will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
