Peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at Chatham Kent Hospice, Barbara Gabriel passed away at the age of 81. Beloved wife of the late George Gabriel (2004). Loving mother of Gregory Blackburn of Simcoe, Michael Blackburn of British Columbia, and step-mother of Martin (Tracey) Gabriel of Essex. Cherished grandmother of Erin (Brad) Lamoure and Tom Gabriel (Morgan Smith). Predeceased by her parents James and Edith Jewitt. Barbara loved painting, colouring, puzzles, and above all spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Cremation has taken place. In keeping with Barbara’s wishes, no services will be held. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Abel Enterprises – Simcoe or Diabetes Canada (cheques only at the funeral home please).
