On February 28, 2025, at 9:45pm, police were called to the 600 block of Oxford Street after an alert citizen had reported thefts in progress from vehicles.   

Police attended the area and located a male matching the suspect description seated inside a vehicle.  The male exited the car and fled on foot, jumping a nearby fence.  The officer pursued the suspect on foot, tackling him to the ground a short distance away.  A physical confrontation ensued during which time it was necessary to subdue the suspect with physical strikes in order to take him into custody.  No medical attention was necessary and the officer was not injured.

A search of the accused incident to arrest revealed several items stolen from nearby vehicles. 

As a result, David ERBA 43 years of no fixed address, was held for bail on the following charges:

  • Resisting Arrest
  • Trespassing at Night
  • Theft Under $5000 
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
