Samuel Christopher Peters Jr., a member of Walpole Island First Nation passed away suddenly on Sunday February 16, 2025 at the age 55. He will be remembered by his children Jenna Hopkins and Christopher Peters and by his cherished granddaughter Kaslynn. Son of the late Samuel & Josephine (Johnson) Peters and dear brother of Holly Renee Johnson (Randall), Joseph Travis Peters (Joyce), Faith Blossom Peters, Ethan Bo Thomas, the late Mary Joyce Peters and the late Samantha Lisa Peters (Elliott surviving). He will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews, aunties, uncles and cousins. Sam was a survivor of the 60’s scoop and was known as a funny, kind hearted loving dad who was always laughing and joking. The community are welcome to join his family at the Walpole Island Sports Complex on Friday, February 21, 2025 at 11am for his traditional ceremony followed by burial at Highbanks Cemetery, under the care of the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg (519-627-3231).
