Sarnia Police Service Announces Annual Police Vehicle Operations Training

The Sarnia Police Service would like to inform the public and local businesses about the upcoming Annual Police Vehicle Operations Training, which will be conducted at the Sarnia Airport parking lots. This training is a vital component of officer development and ensures the continued safety and preparedness of our team when responding to incidents in the community.

Training Details:

• Duration: 8 weeks
• Location: Sarnia Airport parking lots
• Purpose: To enhance police vehicle operation skills in a controlled environment

The training will include mandated exercises focused on:

• Suspect apprehension pursuits
• Alternative tactics to pursuits
• A variety of vehicle stop tactics

These scenarios are designed to enhance officer readiness and ensure the safe handling of dynamic situations on our roadways.

During this period, residents and businesses in the area will notice an increased police presence near the airport. We assure the community that this activity is strictly related to training and not an emergency response.

We appreciate the understanding and cooperation of local businesses and the public as we conduct this essential training.

Thank you for your support as we work to maintain the safety and security of Sarnia.
