Peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on Monday, December 9, 2024, at Bluewater Health, Bob passed away at the age of 88. Beloved husband of Betty. Loving father to Helen and loving grandfather to Asia. Predeceased by his father, Harry and brother Roy. Survived by his sister Suzanne (Jack) Eng. Remembered by several nieces and nephews and their families. Robert Dang, commonly known as Bob Dong was the owner of the Americana Restaurant. One of his proudest accomplishments was transforming the Americana into a place of fine dining and entertainment. He endeavored to create a warm and welcoming environment for family and friends to nourish their heart and soul through food, music dancing and great company. However, his most proud moment was when he became a grandfather to Asia. Family and friends will be received at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, on Friday, December 20, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. with visitation being held one hour prior from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Bluewater Health – Palliative Care (cheques only at the funeral home please).
