It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Deanna ‘Lorraine’ Scripnick on Friday, December 6, 2024. Now reunited with the love of her life, Rene Scripnick (2001). Mother of Stephanie Houlahan (Mike), Bill Scripnick (Josie), Dan Scripnick (Teresa), Emily Mellick (Dave), and Renee Murphy (Mike). Grandma/Nanny to Megan, Matthew, Taryn, Joel, Kristen, Sarah, Matthew, Ryan, Katrina and Nicklas. Great grandmother to many. Predeceased by her parents Elizabeth and Frank Green, as well as her siblings Marion, Jim, Ken, Bob, Don and Doreen.
Mom spent her many years taking care of family. Her years working as a Red Cross Homemaker brought her a great deal of fulfillment. Lorraine loved baking and feeding people. She enjoyed playing bingo, reading, and watching movies.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the staff of North Lambton Lodge (Maple) for the care and comfort they gave to our mom.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to Ostomy Canada or to the Arthritis Society Canada would be appreciated by the family (cheques only at the funeral home please).
Cremation has taken place. A private family farewell was held as per Lorraine’s wishes. Arrangements entrusted to Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
