It is with deep sadness that the family of Andrea Christina Nicefield (née Grevstad) announces her passing on December 5, 2024, at the age of 58.
Andrea is survived by her son, Austin, her siblings, Cara Loncar, Peter Grevstad, Krista Grevstad and Melissa Dillon; her nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is reunited with her parents, Jerry and Lea Grevstad, who preceded her in death.
Andrea was born just before Christmas in 1965, a beautiful baby who grew into a bold and spirited young woman. She attended St. Pat’s High School and went on to graduate from Lambton College. Andrea proudly worked at Manley’s Warehouse.
In her younger days, Andrea was known for her sense of humour, her love of cooking and baking, and her lively, sassy personality. She enjoyed reading and working in her garden, finding joy in simple pleasures. She was a sister who could make you laugh and had a knack for making things memorable.
Life wasn’t always easy for Andrea, and in her later years, she experienced many struggles that changed her path. Despite her challenges, her family remembers the vibrant, caring person she was and the moments of laughter and love they shared with her.
Andrea’s story is a reminder of the importance of kindness and understanding. She will be remembered with love and will always have a place in the hearts of her family.
The family wishes to thank Fr. Brian for pastoral care. Gratitude and many thanks to Elizabeth and Ally in the ICU at Bluewater Health for their kindness and caring.
Cremation has taken place, and a private Interment will be held in Sarnia in the Summer of 2025. Andrea's family asks anyone wishing to donate in her memory to consider The Inn of the Good Shepherd or Second Harvest Canada.
