It is with deeply saddened hearts that the family announces the passing of Kayla Justine Fillion who is and was the light of our lives, on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the age of 24. Beloved daughter of Crystal Fillion and Matthew Jacklin. Loving sister of Jacob Jacklin and Joel Jacklin. Cherished granddaughter and great-granddaughter of Elaine Swass (the late Dave Lewis), Mary Forget, Joe Fillion, Sue Jacklin, Mark Jacklin. She will be missed by the love of her life Frankie White. She will be lovingly remembered by special cousins Madison and Olivia. Survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Deeply missed by her fur babies Mickey, Gunther, and Shamus. Predeceased by her great-grandparents Ron Forget and Agnes Jacklin. Kayla was a social butterfly who touched many people’s lives. She was known for being selfless, gentle, and a free spirit with a passionate soul. Kayla loved reading, music, dancing, and playing basketball and soccer. Her brother Jacob was her favorite person in the whole world. Kayla enjoyed nature, collecting rocks, sticks, and gems, and had dreams of becoming a landscaper. Kayla will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her. A funeral service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation held two hours prior from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Cremation will follow. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to CMHA (cheques only at the funeral home please).
