Samantha Lisa Peters Greenbird ‘Zhaagnkwa Noodin-Kwe’, a member of Walpole Island First Nation, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at the age of 57. Samantha was the daughter of the late Samuel & Josephine (Johnson) Peters. Beloved wife of Lorne Elliott Greenbird. Loving mother of Steven Fisher and Tashina Fisher. Dear grandmother of Charles Fisher-Wright and Shkode Wright. Sister of Holly Renee Johnson (Randall), Samuel ‘Sonny’ Peters Jr., Joseph Travis Peters (Joyce), Faith Blossom Peters, Ethan Bo Thomas and the late Mary Joyce Peters. She will be missed by her nieces and nephews, aunties, uncles, cousins and her in-law family. The family night will be held at 114 Nahdee Lane, Walpole Island on Thursday evening and then for the community at the Walpole Island Sports Complex on Friday from 4 – 8 PM. The traditional funeral will be held at the Walpole Island Sports Complex on Saturday, September 14 at 11 am. Interment to follow at Highbanks Cemetery.
