Agnes Cameron (nee Hull), 86 years, of Oil Springs passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, September 9, 2024 at Bear Creek Terrace in Petrolia. Agnes was the loving wife of the late Park Cameron (2005). She will be missed by her children Karen and Mike Hoven, Cheryl Cameron, Greg and Janice Cameron, and Janet Cameron and her grandchildren Christine and Kevin, Timothy, Matthew, Lauren and Mike and Bradley and Vanessa. Agnes was the sister of Peggy (the late Wayne) Melton, Norma (the late Bert) Simpson, and the late Ted (Cathy) Hull (1992) and sister-in-law of the late Ross (Doris) Cameron. Agnes and her husband were partners in Cam-Ron Insurance Brokers in Oil Springs working every day until 2020. Family was very important to her, she enjoyed spending time with her family at her cottage in Kettle Point.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 11 am from Wyoming Baptist Church, 484 Broadway St. Wyoming. Interment to follow in Oil Springs Cemetery. A celebration of life will follow on Saturday from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Oil Springs Youth Centre, 4517 Victoria St, Oil Springs. In Lieu of flowers donations to the C.E.E. Hospital Foundation (www.ceehf.ca) or the Oil Springs Fireman’s Association.
