It is with broken hearts that the family of Mary Dean Moore announce her passing on Sunday, August 25, 2024 at Bluewater Health, the age of 68. Cherished sister of William (Christine) Moore and Marsha (Randy) Simoneaux. Treasured Aunt of Lee (Carissa), Gillian (Troy) and Megan (Adam), Nicole and Natalie. Dearly loved great Aunt of Finn, Silas, Reece and Charlotte. Predeceased by her parents Wm. Marshall and Isabel Moore. Mary was a graduate and alumni of Western University. She was a lifelong member of London Road West United Church where she was very dedicated to her church choir. Mary retired from Sarnia Police Services, during and after her career she was involved with the Sarnia Police Choir – Sunshine Girls Quartet and The Sarnia Police Retirees Group. Mary’s true passion was her horses; she had a love for riding and racing. She was active in Western riding with her horse Waylon and a member of Quarter Horse Association. She enjoyed Standard Bred Racing and attending The Little Brown Jug yearly. Outside of her time spent with her horse, Mary was an avid sports fan supporting her favourite teams; Toronto Blue Jays. Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors and the Sarnia Sting. Mary was a true community enthusiast always supporting local theatres, attending plays and musicals with friends. 
A special thank you to her neighbours Carla, Pete, Joan and Doug for their ongoing support and kindness, as well as many thanks to Dr. Haddad, nurses; Amanda and Tracy, and EMS staff at Bluewater Health.
Family and friends will be received at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia on Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at London Road West United Church (corner of London Line and Telfer Rd.) on Friday, August 30, 2024 at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
