Peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on Friday, August 16, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Don Leslie Wright passed away at the age of 87. Beloved husband of the late Ruth Wright (2018). Loving father of Brad (Sheri), Carolyn (Joe) Naccarato, and Julie (Tom) Loxton. Cherished grandfather of Laura (Tyler) Sexton, Kraig (Anita), Sarah (Cody) Stewart, and Jessica (Taylor Wigle) Naccarato, and great-grandfather of Harper, Luke, and Aminah Sexton, Mikayla and Walter Wright, Colton and Dakota Stewart, and Lucia Naccarato. Dear brother of Bev (the late Marvin) McGregor and brother-in-law of Ron (Wendy) Anthony. Treasured uncle of Bryan, Scott, and Dean, and Troy, Cameron, and David. He will be dearly missed by his extended family and many dear friends. Don was an active member of Lakeview Community Church where he served as a deacon, elder, and usher over the years. He was also a proud member of the Canadian Bible Society. A strong work ethic was displayed with his 36 year career with Nova/ Dupont. Family and friends will be received at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow in Lakeview Cemetery. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Operation Smile or St. Joseph’s Hospice (cheques only at the funeral home please).
