Grant went to be with the Lord on August 16, 2024, reunited with his infant son John (1972), sister Darlene (1970), and his father and mother Reg and Helen Spragg (2007). Beloved husband and best friend of Nancy. Sisters Marilee (Steve), Gloria (Mario), and his brother Paul (Donna). Father to daughters Susan (Mike), Laura (Mark), and Molly (Jacob). Grandfather to Matthew, Claire, Levi, Ethan, Isaac, Nolan (Brylee), Ben, Kaitlyn, and Brayden. Also survived by nieces and nephew. His devoted passion and faith to the Lord and church throughout his life was steadfast and always had his bible close at hand so he was ready for conversation at any time. Grant was a pilot, captain in Air Cadets in Oakville and also worked as a sales rep. Loved to talk about his past flying stories, time with his wife and family, and especially the sense of humour with his brother that no one else caught on to except them. Many laughs and joy was had. He enjoyed his time at MGM for the last three years. He loved doing crosswords, watching documentaries, puzzles, crafts, chocolate, and learning new facts every day. He will be missed by his family and the staff at MGM. A celebration of life will be held at St. Giles Church, 770 Lakeshore Rd, Sarnia, on Saturday, September 14, 2024 that 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers as an expression of sympathy, donations can be made to the Parkinsons Society or Marshall Gowland Manor in his memory. Arrangements entrusted to Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
