Brown, Audrey Mae (nee Walker) – Peacefully, with family by her side, went home to heaven to be eternally with her Lord and Saviour at Bluewater Health – Sarnia in the early morning hours of August 14, 2024, at the age of 88.

Beloved wife of Lanny Brown for 69 happy years. Loving mother of Ruth (Fraser) Hodgson, Mary (David) Potter, Timothy, James (Helen) and Sharon. Adored grandmother of Shirley (Jason) Griffin, Michael (Cheryl) Hodgson, Andrew (Sharlet) Hodgson, Diana (Mark) Dixon, Lorraine Morley, Rose (Greggs) Farish and Karyssa Brown. Dear great-grandmother of Mya and Faith Griffin, Adeline, Nola and Owen Hodgson, Emma and Joshua Hodgson, Hannah, Abigail, Rachel and Lucas Dixon, Logan, Kaleb, Ethan and Clayton Morley, Layne and Violet Farish. Audrey is also survived by Kathy Nicholson Brown Sylvester, Bob (Sue) Brown, and Elizabeth (Carl) Porritt. She is predeceased by her son Mark (1985), granddaughter Carolyn (1983), siblings Thelma (Charles) Learn, Mervin (Dorothy), Gilbert (Marjorie), Allan (Kathy) and Thomas Walker, Gladys (Gerald)Hannigan, June Walker and brother-in-law Richard Brown.

Audrey (Mom) was dedicated to her family, faith and friends. She enjoyed a good book, was an immaculate housekeeper, regularly entertained friends, family and church family and enjoyed winters in Florida with many snowbird friends.

A Funeral Service will be conducted at Gilpin Funeral Chapel, 123 King St. East, Forest on Friday, August 16th at 1:00 pm with visitation prior to the service from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Reception to follow. Burial will be held on Monday, August 19th at 12:00 pm at Hillside Cemetery, Ridgeville, Ontario.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Patty, Audrey and all the other visiting nurses and PSWs who enabled Mom to stay home until her final hours.
