Peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on Friday, June 28, 2024, at Bluewater Health, Debra “Debbie” Marlene McLachlin passed away at the age of 70. Beloved wife of Harold McLachlin. Loving mother of Chris (Patrick), Dawn (Chuck), Jeff (Vivian), Stephen and Wes (Melissa). Cherished grandmother of Hendrix (Jessie), Hudson, Olivia, Emma, Ethan, Andy, Hayley, Marcus, Thomas, Austin, Caden, Brianna and great-grandmother of Skyla, Alexa and Dawson. Treasured sister of Gary (Patty) Powell, Connie (Ken) Routley, Mike (the late Bev) Thompson and sister-in-law of Debbie Thompson. Fondly remembered by her special sister and best friend Joanne Powell. Predeceased by her parents Jim and Lettie Powell, her brothers Billy, Larry, Dougie, Marvin and Dennie and sister Gail. For the past 18 years, Debbie enjoyed the outdoors through camping and fishing. She also enjoyed going out to the bush with her husband to make maple syrup. Above all, Debbie’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice (cheques only at the funeral home please).
