It is with saddened hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Don Bruder. Don is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Margaret (Nee Leduc), daughter Susanne (Rick) Boutilier, son David Bruder (Angel Gaulin), his daughter Michelle (Jason) Stewart, grandchildren Mackenzie and Tyler Boutilier.

He will also be missed by his loving, extended family, the Leduc’s and their spouses. His family takes great comfort in the knowledge that Don is in the arms of Jesus. Don began his career in banking, where he became the youngest bank manager in Ontario at the time. He changed careers and joined the County of Lambton as Director of Finance/Deputy CAO, finishing out his career as the administrator of The Township of Warwick.

He enjoyed and respected working with so many wonderful people over the years. Don was an avid golfer, enjoyed music, gardening, and barbecuing. He was well known for his quick wit, unique sense of humour, and his endless supply of "dad jokes". He was an adventurous soul who liked to travel with Marg to many places, his time spent in Nelson, B.C. with his grandchildren gave him the most joy. Don will be greatly missed by many.

Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Joseph’s Hospice or the Sarnia Humane Society.

On Saturday, June 8, 2024, family and friends will be received from 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m., followed by a celebration of life and refreshments, at the Lighthouse Community Church, 152 Parker Street, Sarnia.
