Peacefully at Bluewater Health on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, Clarence “Clare” Percy Edgar passed away at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Sally (nee Lanning) for 60 years. Loving father of Darcie Edgar. Dear brother of the late William (Judy) Edgar, Janice (late Leigh) Anderson, and Peggy (Dave) Blakely. Predeceased by his parents Rupert and Margaret Edgar. Clare worked at Fiberglas Canada for over 34 years. He was a member of the Sarnia Traffic Club, Sarnia Chamber of Commerce and Huron Oaks Golf Club. Clare had a passion for golf, enjoyed going hunting with his brother Billy and sitting and watching the boats under the bridge, he will be deeply missed by all those whose lives he touched. The family would like to extend a special thank you to their best friends Kim & Wayne Small, Teresa & Gary Fran and Nikki (the family kitty cat).
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, 1576, London Line, Sarnia on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at 4:00 p.m., with family and friends being received for one hour prior from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society (cheques only at the funeral home please).
