Sebastiana, “Ana” passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 with her loving family at her side, just a few weeks shy of the age of 91. Ana is now reunited with the love of her life Salvatore Liuzzi. Loving and caring mother of Lia Farina (the late Sal), Mary LeClair (the late Skip). Proud and treasured Nona of Justin (Lauren) Farina and Joshua LeClair. Great-grandmother to Noah, Isaiah, and River Farina. She had an unbreakable bond and love for her family. She was the second eldest of twelve children. Dear sister of Rosalia Sottosanti, Maria (Antonio) Arabia, Pietro (Rosetta) Sottosanti, Josephine (Reno) Cacace, Joe (Rosetta) Sottosanti, Salvatore (Rose) Sottosanti, Tony Sottosanti, Enzo Sottosanti, and Carlo (Cindy) Sottosanti. Predeceased by her parents Giovanni and Angela Sottosanti, brother-in-law Antonio Liuzzi sister Antonina and brother-in-law Giuseppe Elmo, Rosa Sottosanti, and nephew, godson Rocco Elmo. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Ana had a special friendship with Zia Nina Liuzzi. Thank you for the decades of always sharing and caring. Ana immigrated to Canada from Sicily, Italy in 1955 and created new beginnings and a life well lived, with her beloved and adoring husband Salvatore. Ana was a longtime resident at Landmark Village Retirement Home. Thank you to the Landmark community for their kindness, friendship, and support for the past sixteen years since opening their doors. A special thank you to Robin. Thank you to the staff of Bluewater Health that kept her comfortable and cared for her. She appreciated the caring and compassionate nurses and physicians who cared for her during her stay. She will be dearly missed by those who knew her. She was a special woman of strength, faith, and love. Family and friends will be received at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 1465 Lecaron Ave., Sarnia, on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. Entombment to follow at Our Lady of Mercy Mausoleum.
