Vonda Marlene Wakefield – Peacefully with family by her side On Monday, April 1st, 2024, at her home in Sarnia, at the age of 70.
Beloved partner of Allan Wakefield for many years. Loving Mother of Kyla Greenbird, Leslie (Missy) Greenbrid, Ashley Wakefield, Shana Wakefield, and Aaron Wakefield (Krista). Vonda is predeceased by two children a baby boy and a baby girl. Adored Grandmother of Tyler, Summer, Anthony, John (JD), Alicia (AJ), Theresa, Shayla (Robert), Legacy, Gabriella (Gabby), Xavier, Abby, Willow, Jordan, Steven, Chloe, and Isabella. Dear Great parents of Zelda, Rose, Betty, Mason, Amelia-Leah, and Bryant. Predeceased by Sophia and Baby Greenbird-Major. Vonda is survived by her siblings, Arlene, Laurie, Wendy, and Randy. Predeceased by her parents Robert and Irene Greenbird, and siblings Lucille, Joyce, Veda, Robert, and Brenda.
Vonda was a kind, caring and beautiful soul who made an impact on so many lives. She loved spending time with family and friends, especially her grand-babies. Vonda loved to watch her children play sports, always being the number one fan in the stands. She enjoyed attending concerts, going on cruises, and playing pool. So much so that she dedicated many years to the Original Rack N Roll Women's Pool League, where friends became family.
Vonda will be dearly missed by all who have had the pleasure of knowing her.
Cremation has taken place as per Vonda's wishes. A Celebration of Life will be conducted at Kettle and Stony Point Community Centre, 6265 Indian Lane, Kettle & Stony Point FN, ON N0N 1J1 on Saturday, April 13th, 2024. Visitation to begin at 11:00 a.m. and service to follow beginning at Noon.
