Elizabeth (Liz) Christine Adam of Sarnia at age 75, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Liz, affectionately known as “Lizzie Ann” will be deeply missed by her husband of 57 years and soulmate Mike Adam. Liz was the proud mother of predeceased son Michael Adam (Paula), Connie Burrowes (Mike) and Kyle Adam (Angie). Loving Grandma of Keeley (Terek), Keegan Adam, Collin Burrowes (Taylor) and Lauren, Cameron Adam and Great Grandma to Isla Burrowes. A loving Sister, Sister-in-law and Auntie to several nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was born in Kirkwall, Orkney Island, Scotland in 1948 and then immigrated to Canada with her husband Mike and 2 kids in 1969. After planting her roots, she gave birth to her third child and became the matriarch of a strong and ever-growing Canadian family. Liz loved to travel, especially cruising with Mike and her friends, but her greatest love was spending time with her family and friends. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Sunday, February 25, 2024, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. A celebration of life service will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 261 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Monday, February 26, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice (cheques only at the funeral home, please).
