Peacefully, with her daughter at her side, on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Bluewater Health, Dorothy passed away at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late George Piliarik. Loving mother of Mary-Lynn Piliarik. Robert Piliarik (deceased), Dennis (Marla) Rodgers, and Danny Rodgers. Cherished grandmother of Tamara VanHoodgenhuize, Adam VanHoodgenhuize, Joel Rodgers, and Evan (Kirby) Rodgers. Treasured great grandmother of Caeden Espinola, Hailee Espinola, Maci Espinola, and Alexis Roders. Predeceased by her parents Flossie and Norman Ashton, siblings Don, Roy, Morse, Irene Margret. Remembered by neice Carla West (John) Cheeseman, Mathew (Julia) Piliarik, Peter Piliarik and many friends and neighbours. Dorothy loved to spend her free time crocheting and going to play bingo. She also loved spending time outside fishing and searching for four leaf clovers. Cremation has taken place. In keeping with Dorothy’s wishes, no services will be held. A burial of ashes will take place at Blackwell Cemetery at a later date. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Humane Society (cheques only at the funeral home please).
