The Mayor of St. Clair Township has announced his inaugural ‘Honour Roll’ for 2023.

This week, Jeff Agar announced his list of 15 individuals named to the 2023 Mayor’s Honour Roll — pointing to those who have made a positive impact and difference in the community.
“You know what, I’ve been thinking about this for a while,” Agar told The Journal. “I was on council for a very long time, and I thought, ‘if I ever get the chance, I am going to do this.’”
The list includes local volunteers involved in everything from the annual Captain Kidd Days in Corunna, to Port Lambton Gala Days, Operation Christmas Tree and more.
Recipients will be honoured at an event in the newly renovated clubhouse at the St. Clair Parkway Golf course at a later date.
“There’s hundreds of volunteers here…they all do it, for no personal gain,” Agar added. “They just want to help the township and it’s great. They should be honoured.”
Agar said he hopes the list will grow annually.
“This is just a small start — I just had a thought of 15 in my mind, so I thought we would start there, and every year, we just keep expanding on it.”
