With saddened hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Josh Maniuk on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at the age of 43. Loving son of Candy (Roger) Rivard and Bob (Liz) Maniuk. Treasured boyfriend of Soula Perdikis for 9 years. Cherished brother of Brandon Maniuk, Maleia Wassom, David (Monica) Thatcher, Barrett Maniuk, and Edward Maniuk. Dear uncle of Matthew (Ashley) Wassom, Eli Wassom, Amberlee Thatcher, Logan Thatcher, and great-uncle of Alaina and Alivia Wassom. Loving and supportive father to Kiv Aujla. Josh will be missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.
Josh had a remarkable ability to find humour in even the most challenging situations, turning ordinary moments into unforgettable memories with a contagious smile and a quick-witted remark. In recent years, Josh found a great passion in metal detecting, spending countless hours uncovering forgotten treasures. This passion brought many great adventures and video footage for his YouTube channel True North Treasure Seekers with his friend Ian. He was also an experienced arborist and was a wealth of knowledge to many. He will be remembered as a jack of all trades in the construction world with a specialization in the interior finishing of new builds.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
A private graveside service will take place at Hillsdale Cemetery, Petrolia.
