Wright, Allen “John”
On Thursday January 18, 2024, at his residence in Sarnia, at the age of 79. John was the beloved husband of the late Margaret Ann (2016). Loving father of Dan and his partner Melodie. Cherished grandfather of Jenna (Cole) and Jacob (Ali) . He is survived by his sisters-in-law Jessie and Diane. Predeceased by his parents Ivan & Shirley Wright, his sisters Susan and Delores, and his brothers Verne (Buck) and Jim. Fond of the water, John enjoyed his walks by the river and his numerous fishing trips. A big hockey fan, he supported the Sting and the Boston Bruins. He will be missed by his many friends at the Legion which he enjoyed visiting on Thursdays. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at the McCormack Funeral Home, 254 George Street (at College Avenue) for visitation on Thursday January 25 starting at 10 am. A Memorial Service will be held at McCormack Funeral Home at 11 am. A Celebration of John’s Life will continue at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 62, 286 Front Street N., from 1 – 4 pm.
