The event, held in partnership between the City of Sarnia and Seaway Kiwanis Club, will be held Friday and Saturday, in the area around the Children’s Animal Farm.

“This event is such an adored holiday tradition; it’s an opportunity for young and old across the community to come out and enjoy the spirit of the season,” said parks and recreation manager Krissy Glavin.

Friday’s events begin at 5:30 p.m. and run until 9 p.m., while Saturday’s schedule runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Guests can expect the full slate of traditional favourites and recent additions that have made the event so popular over the decades, including:

  • Ice-carving demonstrations
  • Story time with Mrs. Claus •
  • Cookie giveaways •
  • Letters to Santa •
  • Train rides •
  • Craft making •
  • Horse and carriage rides •
  • Chestnut roasting •
  • A visit from Santa Claus at 1 p.m. on Dec. 9 •
  • Appearances from Frozen’s Olaf and Rudolph on Dec. 9

Food and beverages will be available at the Seaway Kiwanis Pavilion, and the Animal Farm will be open to visitors throughout the event. All activities and attractions are free with the exception of food and beverages at the Seaway Kiwanis Pavilion.
