Bluewater Health has temporarily paused visiting to the hospital’s inpatient medicine unit after declaring a COVID-19 outbreak, with five patients in the unit testing positive for the virus.
A news release issued this week noted that family and friends can schedule a virtual visit with a loved one in hospital by contacting the unit directly.
The inpatient medicine unit includes both acute and general medicine patients.
Bluewater Health currently has 13 COVID-positive patients in hospital.
